Metal Gear System Extruder Kit for Shapercube 2.x

The Metal Gear System extruder drive is the ultimate drive system for your printer. It produces smooth and steady lines of filament, without any imperfections.

The metal gears on this extruder gears down the drive shaft by 1:5,7, which means you can drive your extruder stepper motor faster and with less power than before!

The filament drive is now done by a gear, which is perfectly round and grips the filament very well and steady.

We do not include a motor in this kit, because this is meant to be an upgrade for 2.x Shapercubes below serial #100. You will have to use a few parts from your old extruder to mount it onto the carriage.

Keep the motor pulley and the big gear greased all the time.

Filament diameter: 3mm
Gear ratio: ~ 1:5,7

Plastic parts are unreamed. Some cleanup may be required.
Drill bits required: 3,2 or 3,5mm, 4mm

Required tools to assemble this kit: 1,5mm hex wrench, 2,5mm hex wrench, thread locker, grease
